While all of these things are great (and big), this wouldn't be about all things big if I didn't take the time to mention my God. He is the biggest and greatest there is. A couple of weeks ago when I went to the beach for the weekend with some friends, I had the opportunity to spend Sunday morning with God on the beach. I sat on a rock in the ocean and just watched and listened to the world around me. As I watched the tide come in and the waves crash on the shore, I was reminded once again how small I am and just how big He is. It's amazing to sit in awe of the creator and just enjoy Him and praise Him for His creation. How big He is that He can be here in Senegal with me and there in Texas with my family! I serve an awesome God!
Also, check out the cool Texas shirt he's wearing. That was a gift from two summers ago. It made me so happy to see him wearing it. It's great to see anybody wearing something from the great state of Texas!
Mama is Njaga and Papa's big sister. She is also growing and changing, though she still makes some of the best faces. She is starting to take on more responsibility in her family. Even though she's still really young (about 6), she is still expected to run errands for the family. She is frequently sent to the store that's right next to the house to buy things the family needs. She's still a little girl, though, and I love to play with her.
Look at the size of these grapes! I couldn't believe how big they were. All of the grapes here are this size. I held off getting some as long as I could because I heard they were a little expensive. However, in the end the temptation was too great, and I had to try them. (I have too much of my dad in me. I can't turn down a good grape.) I don't know how much I paid for them, nor do I want to know. I do know that they were very good.
